But this is more than a book about a successful businessman. It is the chronicle of how an average man can, with God’s guidance and a willing heart, succeed in any endeavor.

Despite never having gotten past seventh grade in school and experiencing many failures early on, R.G. LeTourneau rose to eminence in the competitive world of manufacturing and construction. Although his competitors thought him insane, history has proven that his inventive genius was decades ahead of its time.

LeTourneau’s story is one of the weak confounding the mighty and his message is that what he has done, anyone can do with God’s help. He tells his story with a beautiful humility and it reads as if he is sitting in an armchair across from you just reminiscing and sharing his life.

“Some people think I’m all mixed up—that you can’t serve the Lord and business, too, but that’s just the point. God needs businessmen as partners as well as preachers. . . . When you go into partnership with God, you’ve got a Partner closer and more active than any human partner you can ever get. He participates fully in everything you let Him do, and when you start putting on airs, and thinking you’re doing it with your own head of steam, He can set you down quicker and harder than a thunderbolt. There’s nothing dull about being in partnership with God.”

From 3-5^th September, I attended the Australia Marketplace Leaders Retreat with up to other 30 people. The attendees came from across Australia and New Zealand.  Their individual ministries/projects/visions cover many aspects of society, from the Bible Society to Business, Politics to Pastor, from Road Contractor to Radio Manager.  Yet we became connected, common focus Jesus our Lord and the Kingdom of God.

An extract from the retreat report by Peter Kentley (Australian Marketplace Connections) “As marketplace leaders from around Australia and NZ engaged in this dynamic there was a powerful release of the Spirit in love and unity under the purposes of God. This spiritual place was expressed numerous times during the retreat and it was expressed as “locking shields” in battle. This was strongly affirmed in the first session by a battle cry in unison: “As One!”.

God is moving in the marketplace and rising up new and exciting visions, projects, and ministries.

Apart from normal work related activities most of September has been working on “the book” and a new aspect of what I am doing with this 7 mountains calling.

October 1^st and 2^nd, Daniel (my youngest son) and I attended the Ministry in the Marketplace School with Dr Alistair Petrie. www.partnershipministries.org and hosted by Business Blessings.  Dr Petrie explained that when Business and the Marketplace converge with the Kingdom of God the result is absolutely profound.  Alistair unveiled and explained the world of business from God’s perspective.  The testimonies of transformation of businesses, churches, towns and cities were faith inspiring.

The full interview will be available in a couple of weeks, along with interviews with Dr Alistair Petrie, Danny Guglielmucci, Steve Lynn, and others. I am spinning as God opens doors for these interviews.

In June, Robert ( my husband), Evan (son) and I  were truly blessed to be able to travel to Mexico and attend a conference for 3 days with Dr Lance Wallnau.

This ‘dream trip’ was a dream in so many ways.  The evidence of God’s hand was all over it.  My son Evan and I were booked into a conference in Los Angeles and we decided to fly into the USA a week earlier.  When discussing what we would do in this week, my first words ‘were meet Dr Lance Wallnau and have lunch with him.’  So I rang his office and was told he would be on holidays, out of the country there was no chance.

We then started to organise to meet with some other people.  This activity proved to be very frustrating, every door just seemed closed. So finally we came to the conclusion that God was not in these ideas so we dropped them and said ‘God where ever, who ever, you show us’.  Within 24 hours we received an email from Lance’s office inviting us to the conference at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

• Dr Lance Wallnau was the very person I wanted to meet.
• This was the most suitable weekend for us, it fitted perfectly with our travel arrangements.
• The price was incredulous (US$399 for 5 days, 4 nights all accommodation, all meals and refreshments in a 5 star luxury resort!!!!) (email me for details of how you can do the same).
• All the travel arrangements, etc just flowed with absolute ease….

Dream Trip Conference

The location and the conference, was beyond my dreams (God does that, gives over and above your expectation). The other people at the conference were so open, sharing, caring, as a group we were/are connected and we know that many contacts were God ordained appointments, creating friendships and joint ventures, for the kingdom.

I have a great desire for Christians to hear the message of the Kingdom of God and His 7 mountain strategy and one of the key teachers on this subject is Dr Lance Wallnau.

God has given me a huge vision for my country Australia and would love for Australians to be able to readily obtain Lance’s teachings.

Now, this is God’s hand…… Lance has given us the distribution of all his materials here in Australia.   We will be incorporating a store on this site so you can get his great teachings  posted from Australia.

CRE8 Kingdom Business Summit
Melbourne 2009

Over 330 people attended the 2009 Cre8 Kingdom Business Summit held in Melbourne on March 13 – 14. The achieved purpose of the conference was to provide encouragement, practical support and relational connectivity to Christian Business Owners, Leaders, Emerging Leaders, Entrepreneurs and Church Leaders. Many of these are facing a turbulent future at a time when the current world economy is in crisis.

The theme of the conference, “Rising Above the Storm” focused on overcoming the impact of the global recession by helping Christian Business people recognise their calling to the Marketplace Ministry and how to impact the marketplace as leaders. This was progressively developed in every session.

The world economy is changing rapidly and the outlook appears challenging for businesses over coming years. Yet God is calling His people to be leaders, entrepreneurs and investors in the business world, and show the way forward by applying His timeless principles in moving from Agreement to Alignment. More than ever, it is time for business leaders to be clear in their calling, and allow God’s Spirit to help them see the world situation through His eyes and “Rise above the Storm”.
